While every guy in town has been asking her out, Ryan doesn't seem to have any romantic interest in her at all. He's much older than she is and he's only interested in friendship--yet she can't stop thinking about him.
Brenna questions her sanity when she finds herself falling for two very different men at the same time. As always, Anna has comforting and wise advice but Brenna needs to decide for herself as she struggles to understand God's plan for her life. Should she give in to Luke's attentions? Will her new friendship with Ryan become something more? Or will events that none of them can foresee take her life down a frightening new path?

I have never written a review for a book but I wanted to for this one. I loved the writing in this book. My husband is from Ireland and I have been there with him 3 times so I love books that take place there. I have read a LOT of them. This has been my favorite and I am currently reading the second book in this series. It is a fantastic follow up. I look forward to more books from this author.Product details

One of the best books I have read. I got very little sleep the weekend I read this book because I instantly became involved with the lives of the characters. I love it when you read a book and become friends with the characters and that is exactly what happened with this story. I did not want it to end because now I miss my new friend Brenna! This is also a book that I know my daughter will love when she gets a little older, and one that I will be so happy to share with her. I hope there is a sequel because I can't wait to see what happens next!
This was the first fiction book i have read since becoming a parent,16 yrs ago! When I recieved my for Mothers day it was the first book I purchased and I am so glad I did. The story was beautiful,real and even the scenery,places and food where so well described that I was able the paint pictures in my mind of all the places and at times go to bed hungry because of all the food descriptions. I loved that it made me cry,laugh and gave me food for thought . Definetly worth reading and highly recommended!
A good contemporary love story that takes place in Ireland. Didn't know that this is a Christian novel, not to preachy, but lots of going to church in this story. This is a clean story, with a few scenes of drunkenness. Good Book.
A wonderful first novel! The characters are inspiring and include issues that are relevant today such as dementia and young love. A strong family influence and bond as well as faith guide the characters. As a teacher, I am going to ask our middle and high school librarians to buy copies. I can't wait for the next book to see where the characters go!
I enjoyed reading this book and the vivid descriptions of the characters and setting. Now I want to go to Ireland!! It's nice to read a romantic, clean book with passion but no "heaving bosoms." There was conflict, violence, humor and emotion. And faith. People wrestling with anger, fear, uncertainty, grief, jealousy and shame with love, honesty and faith.
I was somewhat nervous when this book was recommended to me by a friend as it isn't the genre I normally read, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm so glad I did! The characters were so real and relatable I was sucked in in no time. A sweet story with many layers and just enough real life twists and turns that you don't get a cavity from reading it. I would highly recommend this author to anyone searching for a captivating story, but be prepared, this one might have you up past your bedtime...just one more chapter...happy reading!
So I picked this book based on the fact that it took place in Ireland and the reviews gave the impression I wouldn't be able to put it down. True the reviews I was taken with the characters and the setting immediately. Think I've read this book in 2 sittings, towards the end I was sneaking a couple pages even at work. I hated to see it end! I will defiantly be reading more from this author! Plz write more!
